52 Weeks with Asian Artists & Creators Guided Journal

52 Weeks with Asian Artists & Creators: A Weekly Journal Exploring Tradition, Innovation & Cultural Change

Spend a year exploring the extraordinary diversity of Asian art and creativity across different cultures, periods and media. From woodblock prints and ink painting to film, architecture, performance and contemporary installation, the journey explores how creators respond to tradition, power, movement and change.

Across 52 undated weekly experiences, the journey unfolds through four distinct sections:

Section I — Inheritance & Reinvention
Explore how artists work with inherited traditions in ink, printmaking, craft and architecture while finding new ways to transform them.

Section II — Power, History & Modern Life
Discover how colonialism, nationalism, war and modernisation shaped new artistic responses to identity, authority and social change.

Section III — Movement, Hybridity & the Everyday
Follow artists shaped by migration, travel and cultural exchange, where everyday objects and spaces become expressions of lives lived between worlds.

Section IV — New Media, Space & Possible Futures
Explore film, performance, architecture, technology and conceptual practice as creators imagine new ways of seeing and inhabiting the world.

Each week combines a full-page visual opening, a substantial contextual essay and a dedicated fillable Journal Notes page designed to encourage closer observation and personal reflection.
