A weekly journal across the Asian side of Eurasia — from Anatolia to Mongolia

This guided journal is a year-long companion for seeing how artists shape the way we understand place, history, and human experience.

In this edition, “Eurasia” is defined deliberately: the focus stays on the Asian landmass of Eurasia — spanning Anatolia/Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Siberia/Asian Russia, and Mongolia. European artists and European-rooted careers are intentionally left out, so the spotlight stays on voices that are often under-represented in Western-first art narratives.

The goal isn’t to “get through” art history.
The goal is to build a steady practice of attention — one artist at a time.

How Each Week Unfolds

Each week follows the same repeatable flow:

A visual starting point
The week opens with a full-page image that sets the tone and gives you an uninterrupted moment to look before you read.

A structured feature study
You then move into a readable life-and-context narrative, supported by focused guidance for how to look: notes on light and spatial choices, “look closer” prompts, and reflective questions that connect the work to your own thinking.

A dedicated notes page
Finally, you get clean space to record your own observations and takeaways — building a personal archive across the year.

How the Year Is Organised

The 52 weeks are grouped into four regional chapters so the journey feels coherent rather than random:

  • Anatolia / Turkey (Weeks 1–13)

  • Iran & Afghanistan (Weeks 14–26)

  • Caucasus: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia (Weeks 27–39)

  • Central Asia + Siberia / Asian Russia + Mongolia (Weeks 40–52)
